One of the primary objectives of fish culture is the production of quality fish that are vigorous and healthy. Successful fish husbandry is an indication that good environmental conditions have been provided by the rearing facility. Improvements in fish husbandry practices can be used to reduce the effects of adverse environmental conditions, to overcome deficiencies in facility design, and to reduce the frequency and severity of stresses which contribute to the occurrence of disease.
Here at TPS we understand the logistical constraints of working both with RAS systems and offshore. Drawing from our long experience with fish, we can provide assistance and recommendation on how to improve all husbandry techniques.
The services we offer are below:
· Feeding training- distribution, timing, frequency and feeding method
· Full SFR control-Production of feed guides regularly updated for temperature and biomass change
· Harvesting – improving product quality by implementing tried and tested techniques
· Transfers-Advising on methodology to prevent escapes and prevent damage
· Fish health-screening and recognising early signs
· Discharge of fingerling- Minimising stress
